Here’s one way to help our waterways

I recently read something that has alarmed me. Scientific American has reported that the nation’s waterways are brimming with excess nitrogen from fertilizer. Our water in brooks, streams and creeks carry a heavy load of pollutants, especially nitrates from fertilizers. The nitrogen and oxygen molecules that plants need to grow eventually make their way into rivers, lakes and oceans, which, in turn create algae that depletes oxygen and leaves dead zones in the water. No fish of sea life can survive in that environment. One way to help reduce this problem is to replace your natural grass with beautiful artificial turf. It looks and feels exactly like natural grass, and doesn’t require natural grass maintenance and watering. By installing artificial turf, you are not only improving the look of your yard, but your are helping to prevent fertilizer pollution in our water. The Grass Queen
